Our Programs

Painted Turtle After-School Arts Club (PTAAC) was developed in response to requests from Community Leaders for resources and training support to improve their capacity to deliver arts programming within their own communities. To this end, two selected Youth Leaders from designated communities are chosen to run a weekly 75-minute after school arts club with children aged 6-10 in their community. The focus will be on refining and continuing to develop the curriculum, reach, and deliverables of the programs with an eye towards both growth and sustainability.
Each session runs for 8-10 weeks. The Youth Leaders, in addition to the Community Mentor, receive 2-3 days of arts-based facilitation training delivered by PTAP Specialists, as well as the relevant tools and supplies, in advance of running the program in their communities
